You Are Forgiven

I'm watching 'Rushmore'. Don't ask why... because it's an incredible movie. Two new movies to add to my desert island list are 'Rushmore' and 'Confessions of a Dangerous Mind'. Both of them have (in my opinion) two of the most handsome men in Hollywood in them: Jason Schwartzman and Sam Rockwell. I can't say I have a whole lot to share. I'd like to show you pictures of our new home. It's a house. I live in a house and I completely forgot how amazing it is to live in a house as opposed to an apartment. There is so much room to breathe. Our puppy has her own yard and my housemate and best friend, is teaching me how to cook some very basic meals for dinner. I'm learning so very, very much. There is definitely some adjustments to moving in with two brand new personalities. But I think we're doing a really good job communicating and it's just going to be strange in the first couple of months. Feeling very optimistic about the move.

I'll post some pictures soon. I'm supposed to be starting at Mt.Sac on the 22nd but I'm having a really hard time registering online. All of the classes I need for my major are already closed. Every single one. I'm not actually going to have any seniority over other students unless I attend a couple of semesters- but I'm not going to take any classes I do not need. I'll have to just show up to the classes I'd like to take and hope there is an open spot. I'm so sad about this.

I still have so much to unpack. At least it's not raining today and we have a bathroom we can use. My birthday was very, very low key. I heard from everyone and had a lovely little dinner at one of my favorite places to eat. I received some lovely gifts and drank some really good red wine. I honestly couldn't ask for more. The next post will be all pictures.

Panama

So, I suppose I'm supposed to write something clever, but honestly, I've got nothing. We're moving next week, it's expensive and time consuming. We've worked out a most excellent deal with our new landlords (The Ryan's) and we'll be paying rent bi-monthly. Every time Jeremy gets paid we'll be handing over a certain amount. Yay for this! The last thing we need is late fees and yeah... my confidence in our money management skills are somewhat dwindling right now. I guess I'm having a hard time getting past the fact that I'm almost 25, have no job and have managed to make a huge mess of my life up until this point. On the bright side, I'm thinking that It's not completely ridiculous that I had to go through every thing I have in the last few years to re-prioritize as sorts.

Anyways, so much is changing. We're moving out to Diamond Bar, as stated earlier. We'll be sharing a 3 bedroom house with our friends, David and Caitlin. I'll be starting at Mt.Sac mid February and finally going back to school for my AA in fine arts. Honestly, it's the only thing I can think of at this point. I've decided to start doing makeup again. Hooray. My friend Crystal is an incredibly talented hair dresser and I think that with her doing hair and me doing makeup we can make some extra money doing weddings and photo shoots. After I have my portfolio built up and a degree under my belt I want to start apprenticing at a tattoo shop in southern California. I know it sounds insane and the industry is really competitive but I believe it's the answer I've been looking for. I feel really passionate about it and I know what it's going to take.

Until the time is right I'm going to move, get my home situated and get back into my creative groove. I probably wont update again until after we've moved and the house is more situated. Next post will be a "our new place" post. There is much, much more to tell but honestly I am too tired and too busy to dedicate too much time right now. Happy 25th birthday to me next Thursday! I'm going to make 25 the best year yet.

Bad Medicine

The schedule is this: we have 528 hours, 31,680 minutes or 1,900,800 seconds until our move. THRILLED. Arrangements are moving along nicely. Oh, and I got my new boots today! They're so... boring. Seriously, I can wear them with anything. Nothing spectacular has happened lately. Honestly I've been undergoing trying to schedule bariatric surgery and packing. I know, totally awesome. Haven't discovered anything terribly new and cool lately, except for 'Sleep Talkin' Man' - hilarious.

Right now I'm reading 'Star Girl' by Jerry Spinelli, for obvious reasons. I suggest everyone read and re-read it often. There really is nothing like light young adult reading. I think next I'll pick up 'The Perks of Being A Wallflower' and dive right in. Today I hope to accomplish some kind of inner peace. Boys are so funny- they really have a crappy sense measurement. Jeremy keeps telling everyone we're almost finished packing- we're not even close. I think he just sees so many boxes that he figures we've got to be making real progress. As a veteran at packing and moving (over 20 times in my life) knows better.

Unchain the Night

I can't even believe how rad this weekend was. Except for a few blips. Man oh man! I found the cutest new mustard colored purse- some sunglasses that I actually like. I made plans for my birthday on February the 4th at 2nd Street Bistro in Pomona. Got to see our roomies-to-be, Cait and David twice. Made a Caesar Salad to pair with Erin's baked mac n' cheese. Seriously, there is nothing like comfort food in the dead of winter. So, I should be looking up cool new lovelies to share with you on my blog but truth be told, I can't take my eyes away from where else? Design Sponge! We're working on colors and thrift store finds for our room and the house. We decided to scratch modern and go bold- like we do. I'd like to do the walls turquoise and well, here is our inspiration board.

Hooray! We'll be moving on the 6th of February. Right now I'm dreaming of cardboard boxes and packing tape. After we move I'll be posting a lot more pictures of us-friends-family etc. I'm so excited for this next month. Also, I may be making a date for a specific type of minor surgery here soon. More on this later... XO
